IDFPR increases real estate licensing fees

The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) has increased several real estate license fees.

To transfer sponsorship of a license, the fee is now $35.

To apply for a license, the fee is now $100 for leasing agents, $150 for brokers and $250 for managing brokers.

To renew a license, the fee is now $150 for leasing agents, $200 for brokers and $250 for managing brokers.

The late fee, for all three types of licenses, expired for no more than two years is $75.

There are other fee increases, too, detailed here. All changes went into effect Jan. 1 of this year.
