Cody Horvat is transitioning from his career in public relations and returning to COMPASS — this time as a real estate agent with The Scott Group. He first joined the company as a senior communications associate back in 2021.

In total, Horvat brings over seven years of industry experience to the team, having spent time in research at realtor.com before heading up Midwestern communications for COMPASS. In that role, he oversaw PR for Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Delaware and Wisconsin — and collaborated with Chicago Agent frequently — to establish the growing COMPASS brand.

He also worked on several celebrity listings, including the promotion of homes owned by NASCAR driver Tony Stewart, famous chef Stephanie Izard and Milwaukee Brewers player Christian Yelich.

Now at The Scott Group, Horvat is joining a team that’s been recognized among the top 1% of producers by the Chicago Association of REALTORS®. “We are thrilled to have Cody joining our team,” Darrell Scott, team principal of The Scott Group, said in a press release. “When it comes to promoting properties through PR, there are very few who match his knowledge.”

Horvat also expressed his excitement. “After seven years of navigating the intricate landscape of real estate through the lens of data, research and crafting compelling narratives, I’m excited to use my unique skills to develop strategies that amplify the visibility of my clients’ homes to a vast audience,” he said, noting that he looks forward to helping a variety of clients, beyond just premier luxury listings.
