Christie’s International Real Estate makes two executive promotions and one new hire

by Emily Mack

Christie’s International Real Estate has promoted two executives, Natalie Hamrick and Kevin Van Eck, to co-lead its Americas network. Hamrick has been named president of affiliate services and Van Eck, president of affiliate strategy. The company also made a new C-suite hire: Nidhal Charfi, who will be vice president of affiliate expansion.

“Over the last two years, we have had a lot of success growing Christie’s International Real Estate,” Christie’s International Real Estate co-CEO Thad Wong said in a press release. “Now, we see an opportunity to add depth to our executive leadership by giving Natalie and Kevin a larger role and creating an even stronger platform for network growth with Nidhal.”

Hamrick and Van Eck are ascending into roles most recently held by Chris Lim, who is remaining with the firm as a senior advisor and global brand ambassador. In 2021, all three professionals were part of the team that led @properties’ acquisition of Christie’s International Real Estate from Christie’s.

In total, Hamrick has spent 13 years within the Christie’s International Real Estate organization, most recently as executive vice president of the Americas, overseeing the development of member firms throughout the U.S., Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean.

Van Eck, meanwhile, served as Christie’s International Real Estate’s executive vice president of innovation and education, helping to develop the brand’s pl@tform™ technology along with marketing and training programs. Before that, he held a similar role with @properties and has, in total, more than a decade of real estate experience.

“Much like [co-CEO Mike Golden] and I, Natalie and Kevin have very complementary skills … [Hamrick] has a deep understanding of Christie’s and its relationship to Christie’s International Real Estate. Meanwhile, Kevin is equally talented … He has a very strong operational background,” Wong said. “I’m confident this will be a case of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts.”

Charfi, however, is new to the company. He spent seven years at Compass where, most recently, he served as the senior director of sales and strategic growth before leaving in 2022. While there, he helped Compass grow into new markets, increasing its annual revenue to over $6 billion. Charfi has also worked in business development for tech companies like LinkedIn and Oracle.

“Christie’s International Real Estate has a tremendous opportunity to continue its growth trajectory,” Charfi said. “We have the vision, leadership, technology and brand to keep playing offense and thriving in a marketplace where almost everyone else is playing defense.”
