The Chicago Association of REALTORS® (CAR) will induct Marion Valle, a past president of the association, into its Hall of Fame later this month at the group’s 140th Inaugural Gala.
Valle is being honored for his 50-year-plus career in real estate career and his impact on the local industry.
During the 1970s, Valle served as Illinois’ first full-time commissioner of real estate, helping where he helped to build the real estate regulations that are used today. In 1980, he led the creation of the National Association of REALTORS®’ Political Affairs Division and began overseeing RPAC. Then, in 1991, Valle became president of CAR and worked to merge the city association with the North Side Real Estate Board, more than doubling membership.
During his time as a leader at CAR, Valle also founded CARPAC and co-founded the Chicago Association of REALTORS® Education Foundation. Through the Foundation, he helped to provide real estate education scholarships as well as charitable grants for other Chicago organizations.
Today, he is the managing broker and owner of Marion Valle.
“Marion Valle has had a vast career in the real estate industry and been part of many monumental decisions that have changed the way we practice real estate in Illinois. He has created greater opportunities for those within our industry,” CAR President Sarah Ware said in a press release. “We are proud to welcome him into our Hall of Fame this year.”
The induction will take place on Sept. 22.
