Andrew Chevalier joins Movement Mortgage as a market leader

by Emily Mack

After nearly two decades in the mortgage industry, Andrew Chevalier has joined Movement Mortgage as a market leader. In the role, he will focus on expanding the company’s presence in the markets of Illinois and Wisconsin, working to grow a team of originators there.

“I will be looking to hire loan officers looking to grow their business in one of the most challenging markets we’ve seen in my career,” Chevalier told Chicago Agent.

Chevalier first began his lending career at Quicken Loans in 2006 before moving on to Chase, where he was a senior home lending advisor for almost 11 years. There, he was recognized as National Achiever twice, in 2015 and 2017.

Prior to his new position at Movement Mortgage, Chevalier was the vice president of residential lending at Blueleaf Lending and GreenState Credit Union. (GreenState Credit Union acquired Blueleaf Lending in 2022.)

In 2019 and 2020, he was also nominated for the Illinois Mortgage Banker Association’s award for Best Loan Officer from a Large Bank and, in all, has closed almost $1 billion in mortgage volume throughout his career.

Speaking with Chicago Agent, Chevalier expressed his excitement over his transition to Movement Mortgage, citing the company’s philanthropy as a founding ideal. “We are an impact lender,” he explained. “An impact lender is a lender that gives 10% or more of its profits back to its communities. Movement Mortgage gives 48% of their profits back to the communities in which they serve.”

Chevalier currently lives in Highland Park with his wife and two children.
