Bring on the survey results!

by Patrick Regan

I don’t mind sharing that I can be a bit of a data nerd. I love to track statistics over time and see how they evolve, then figure out the reasons behind the changing numbers. That’s true for real estate-related numbers, Chicago Agent readership trends, even baseball statistics. It makes sense, then, that this is perhaps my favorite issue of Chicago Agent.

In this issue, we bring you the results of our Truth About Agents survey. You’ll find juicy data compiled from survey respondents on compensation, client profiles, training, new construction, marketing and more. This annual survey allows us to track results year over year, and we’ve included some observations about those changing results in the survey. For example, 60% of survey respondents said they earned $100,000 or more in 2021. What about 2022? And what earnings are agents expecting in 2023? Go check out the data to see the answers.

Be sure to find our Real Issues piece, which examines homes of the future. We set out to ask: What features do builders, architects and developers predict that homebuyers will expect in the coming years? The answers are fun and illuminating.

We’re also pleased to highlight Leigh Brown in this month’s Top Coach feature. Brown is a Certified Speaking Professional™ and international keynote speaker who specializes in helping real estate agents grow their confidence and their business.

Our Association News column comes from Nuria Rivera, president of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals. She offers her view on the importance of homeownership in helping Latinos close the wealth gap.

There’s plenty more in this issue, and I hope you’ll enjoy what you find. As always, thanks for reading. I welcome your feedback on this issue or anything else at Chicago Agent magazine.
