Lending matters

by Jacqui Mueller

This month, we’re taking a closer look at the lending side of Chicagoland real estate.

For our cover story, Chicago Agent spoke with three lending professionals about what they’re seeing in today’s market, from shifting rates to evolving buyer sentiment, and how they collaborate with real estate agents to turn aspiration into ownership. Lending isn’t just a transaction, it’s strategy, education and partnership. When lenders and agents are aligned, buyers are better prepared, more confident and ultimately more successful.

As a homeowner myself, this topic feels personal. I purchased my home nearly six years ago during the uncertainty of COVID, when rates, guidelines and day-to-day realities were changing quickly. That experience gave me a real sense of how shifting lending conditions can impact timelines, expectations and purchasing power throughout the process.

Lending plays an enormous role in shaping someone’s path to homeownership. It determines what is possible, what needs adjusting and when it makes sense to move forward.

In a market that’s always shifting, that’s why Chicago Agent is here to equip you with the knowledge and tools you need to stay informed and guide your clients with confidence.
