And I’ll sing you a tune. Lend me some money, and I’ll buy a house. That’s how the old saying goes, right? I’ve been coming up with witty lending epitaphs like these for more than a decade now, so there’s a good chance I’ve used that one before. (Psst, I have.) Read through that old column and I bet you I mention Joel Schaub, Jenny Ames or Tommy Choi. It wouldn’t be Agent X without real estate staples like them, lending issue or not.
Oh, would you look at that! Speaking of Choi, he and Josh Weinberg of Weinberg Choi Residential hosted a client appreciation happy hour at Luxbar in the Gold Coast on March 1. The invite didn’t lie as there were small bites and tasty drinks — a great time was had by many. And as if I haven’t mentioned TC enough in this column, the office also gave away a Stella Barra pizza kit in honor of Valentine’s Day. That is the last mention I promise, as neither he nor Mr. Weinberg them have a birthday in March.
Sarah Ware shared some cool footage on her Facebook page of the Chicago Association of REALTORS® celebration commemorating Black History Month. The event honored Black professionals throughout the real estate industry, and attendees enjoyed yummy food from BJs Market Café and bevvies from Alexander James Whiskey (both Black-owned brands). Sponsored by Chase, I’m of the opinion we should hold one of these every day during the month of February for many reasons, including so I can have more excuses to sip on that whiskey.
In just a couple of days, on March 8, the Women’s Council of REALTORS® is hosting their annual Titans of the Industry brunch. I’m definitely going to go, because there is no better meal than brunch and I fully support all women’s causes. Stay tuned for the next issue to see if there was French toast because I’m really craving French toast right now.

Jim “Let’s Get Physical” Psyhogios celebrates on March 6, David “Charge” Cieslak on March 7, and both Katrina “Kick” Schmitt and Landon “Hoops” Harper will party on March 10. Sandesh “Bounce Pass” Bilgi will get more distinguished on March 15, Tammy Hajjar “Mini-golf” Miller will be honoring a trip around the sun on March 19, and Mary “Supercross” Summerville celebrates on March 20. Melissa “Alley-Oop” Archer-Wirtz has a birthday on March 21, Michelle “Basketball” Bobart on March 22, and then Peter “Marathon” Moulton, Matt “Martial Arts” Laricy ,and Matt “Mountain Climbing” Silver are lucky there are a lot of sports-related words that start with M so that I can honor them all on March 24. I even saved one for Marissa “Moped Racing” Lanzito on March 28 and yes that’s a thing. Judy “Goal” Greenberg is also on March 28 but her name starts with a different letter. Let’s round out March with Peter “Pass” Olesker on March 29 and Deena “Zone Defense” Zimmerman on March 30. Then goodness April Fool’s Day is an embarrassment of birthday real estate riches with: Mike “Varsity” Vesole, Andrea “Grand Slam” Geller, Kim Hay “Kickball” Keefe, and Nick “Layup” Libert.
