Goodman Theatre founder’s $4M home sale helps BHHS set home sales records

by Emily Mack

Three brokers from Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago have recently taken part in record-breaking local transactions, representing the buyers.

On Aug. 13, Ava Gizzo, of Glen Ellyn’s Pattie Murray Team, represented the buyers of a South Wheaton property. The Wiesbrook Road home cost $2.89 million, and that transaction marked the highest-recorded closed residential re-sale in the city of Wheaton.

Then on Aug. 16, Susan O’Connor Davis, of the BHHS Chicago Michigan Avenue office, participated in the sale of a historic Chicago home. Originally built for William Owen Goodman, a founder of the Goodman Theatre, O’Connor’s clients purchased the home for $3.96 million. This is the highest price ever paid for a closed single-family detached residential property on the city’s south side.

And on Sept. 17, Juliet Mills, of The Mills Group in Elmhurst, participated in the sale of the 207 E. South Street. At $3.3 million, this Elmhurst home sale became the highest closed residential sale on record in that city.

“It’s really an honor to congratulate Ava, Susan and Juliet on a job well-done,” Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago CEO Diane Glass said in a press release. “In each record-breaking instance, these award-winning agents shared their considerable knowledge of the neighborhoods and communities and assisted their clients through to a successful purchase of their dream home. Knowing these agents, though, it’s really no surprise. They are amazing professionals who work tirelessly on behalf of their clients to achieve their goals. I wish them continued success.”
