Number of years in real estate: 1.5

Describe your look. Today I channeled my inner 80s businesswoman! I used some fun prints to breathe new life into my dated high-waisted trousers and prominent shoulder pads, which are a nod to such a fun decade for fashion.

What do you consider a “fashion don’t”? Not planning or having an idea of how you will style a new piece of clothing with what’s in your closet when you purchase it. This is how you end up with a closet full of clothes with “nothing to wear.” Trust me, I’m a reformed impulse shopper!

What item of clothing gets you the most compliments? I have a graphic print romper that I thrifted for $3! People always adore the fit and print, and my managing broker compliments me when I wear it around the office.

What is a fashion crime you have committed in the past? In sixth grade I was obsessed with the oversized yarn ponchos from Limited Too. Please don’t Google it — haha!

Where are your favorite clothing stores or brands? I adore thrifting, because not only is it sustainable, it also offers me the opportunity to curate my own style from a wide selection of pieces dating from the 1970s – current day. My favorite thrift store is currently Family Village Outlet in Logan Square, where there is a half-off sale daily!

Who is your style icon? Rihanna effortlessly slayed a blue Molly Goddard avant-garde ballgown and made it look chic. She has the confidence to wear anything that makes her feel good, no matter how it may be received, and that’s how I feel about my style.

What’s the most expensive or meaningful accessory or piece of clothing you’ve ever acquired? Do you still have it? My grandfather passed away from Alzheimer’s disease, and when we received his clothes from his nursing facility, I was able to grab one of his vintage sweaters with his name written inside the collar. I still wear it to this day and get so many compliments on how I style it!

What item in your closet do you wear the most? I found a vintage bright magenta fuzzy sweater with gold buttons, and I love throwing it over other prints and anything black. Not only does it pop, but I’m always cold in the office, so it’s multifunctional.

My outfit today excluding the shoes (purchased from Poshmark) only cost me $8.25 and every piece was thrifted from Family Village Outlet!
