As much as I like to dive into the cocktails at real estate events and swim my way out the next morning, I do still believe in being the most professional agent that I can be. There is a time and place for shenanigans, and I’m almost always aware of my surroundings. For instance, when it’s a rooftop party for G-rate, I’m less worried about plunging into a vat of spiked punch than when I’m sitting in the front row of an HBAGC panel. It’s all about knowing what to do/say/drink/ and when, and that’s not a skill everyone has. Just ask that guy who was passed out in the coat closet at last year’s Who’s Who. Although, the fact that most people didn’t even realize that happened means that guy probably didn’t lose any notches on his professionalism belt.

It’s been a slow couple of weeks of gossip as folks are absorbing the weird national news these days. As you know, Agent X doesn’t comment on political leanings, and no matter which way you sway these are crazy, crazy times. So, sit back and relax and let’s have some gossipy fun.

Not necessarily gossip, but @properties is going national as a franchise! It’s nice to share some good news every once in a while.

Evelyn Fred has decided to choose the next color of her hair by polling folks on Facebook. No matter what direction she goes– grey, blonde, red – Ms. Fred will be killing it in any color or any coif.

As I shiver with my cup of java this morning, I can officially confirm that fall is here. You know what that means: fun birthday shoutouts! First, we’ve got Maria “Moonlit” Thanasouras and Ryan “Windy” Wynia sharing an Oct. 14 bday. Next up, Kevin “Soggy” Serafin and Rebecca “Pumpkin” Pearson spice it up on their Oct. 16 bday. Britta “Brisk” Rivera and Christina “Blustery” Breuer McNamee celebrate on Oct. 17, while Andrew “Chilly” Chevalier and Joan “Leafy” LoCascio will celebrate the next day on Oct. 18. Karen “Pinecone” Peterson can have her own birthday fun on Oct. 22, while Matt “Gourd” Garrison and Emily “Sunflower” Sachs Wong can party down together (most likely 6-feet away from one another) on Oct. 23. Last on my bday list, Amy “Autumn” Duong Kim and Jon “Golden” Goldman squeeze into this issue on Oct. 24.
