New VP of education for @properties; BHHS adds to Evanston office count

by Meg White

New exec joins @properties

This week, @properties co-founders Thad Wong and Mike Golden announced they’ve brought on Annette Fryzel as vice president of education and broker development for the firm. She’ll be working out of @properties’ Hinsdale office and will focus helping agents develop strategic branding, marketing initiatives and business primarily in the western suburbs.

Wong directly addressed timing in the announcement, which noted that other brands are making staff reductions due to the economic uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Annette is coming to @properties at the perfect time as far as we are concerned. Now is the time when agents must focus on acquiring new skills, strengthening relationships, and building their individual brands,” Wong said in a press release announcing the hire. He added that Fryzel “is going to have a big impact immediately and over the long haul.”

Fryzel has many years of industry experience under her belt, having worked with Key Mortgage, The Sterling Group, Coldwell Banker and Equity Residential. “I’ve been involved in real estate branding and marketing for most of my professional life, so naturally I’m excited to join a firm with a brand as dynamic as @properties’,” Fryzel said.

BHHS welcomes new recruit to Evanston office

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago announced earlier this week that Martha King left Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty to join their Evanston office.

“It’s such a pleasure to welcome Martha to our company. She is well-respected in our community and will be a great addition to our team,” said Pat Vaughan, managing broker of the firm’s Evanston office, in a press release.

King was born in Evanston and returned to the area to raise a family. “In all of the interactions that I have had with agents from the Evanston office over the years, I have always found them to be kind and professional,” she said. “I am thrilled to be joining this group.”
