Chris Johnson, real estate agent with @properties

by Chicago Agent

Number of years in real estate: 3

Describe your look: Classic, with an urban twist

What do you consider a “fashion don’t”? Anything that’s oversized

What style has come back into fashion that you think shouldn’t have? Socks that go over jeans

What item of clothing gets you the most compliments? I wear a lot of colorful coats. It’s good to take risks.

What is a fashion crime you have committed in the past? Baggy throwback jerseys in the early 2000s. I was in college, and all about it. They were $300 to 400 a piece. Yikes.

Where are your favorite clothing stores or brands? I don’t have a favorite store; I have a favorite tailor right off LaSalle and Division.

What fashion accessory do you feel naked without? A watch

Who is your style icon? Teddy Pendergrass

What decade or time period had the best fashion in your opinion? Early ’80s — simple, not a lot of logos

What’s the most expensive or meaningful accessory or piece of clothing you’ve ever acquired? Do you still have it? Most meaningful is a watch my mother gave me. I still have it.

What item in your closet do you wear the most? Nothing. I’m all about fast fashion. I wear clothing for a season, donate the old clothes and then buy everything new.

Does your style reflect your personal brand? If so, how? Definitely. As I’ve matured, I’ve cared less about brands and price, and more about how clothing fits me personally.

Pants: Zara; shirt: H&M; coat: Calvin Klein; shoes: Kenneth Cole; watch: Casio; accessories: Apple AirPods
