Guaranteed Rate brings back another SVP, Baird & Warner adds suburban team and more

Gambatese rejoins GRate

After two years at loandepot, Michael Gambatese returned as a senior vice president to Guaranteed Rate, where he’d spent a dozen years of his nearly 20-year lending career. The announcement comes nearly a month after the firm announced the return of Jon Altizer in November.

“We are thrilled to welcome Mike back,” said Dan Moran, executive vice president of sales for Guaranteed Rate, in a press release. “His extensive experience in building strong relationships with customers and referral partners throughout Chicago and the Midwest will be a huge asset to Guaranteed Rate.”

Gambatese, who averages $65 million in yearly loan production, will be based in Guaranteed Rate’s corporate headquarters in Chicago. “I’m excited to return to the Guaranteed Rate family,” said Gambatese. “I look forward to working collaboratively with the leadership team at Guaranteed Rate and with agents throughout the Midwest.”

Baird & Warner adds new team to Schaumburg office

Last week, Baird & Warner announced that it’d be bringing over a team from Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices. Your Home Group — comprised of broker associates Sabrina Conti Erangey and Anthony Erangey, alongside a licensed assistant and a director of operations — will be working out of the firm’s Schaumburg office.

Sabrina, who was chosen as one of the National Association of Realtors’ 30 Under 30 in 2018 and comes from a family of entrepreneurs, noted she was drawn to Baird & Warner’s local history. “My family started the Gonnella Baking Company here in Chicago and it’s still in our family five generations later. Knowing that Baird & Warner is still family owned and operated after 160 years, and so deeply rooted in Chicago felt like synergy with my family,” she said in a press release about the move.

Payes makes NAHREP history

As the newly installed 2020 president of the Chicago chapter of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals, 33-year-old Ivonne Payes is the youngest woman to hold the position. The broker-owner of RE/MAX American Dream in Round Lake Beach is also the only current board member to have held all four executive positions: secretary, treasurer, vice president and now president.

“I am truly honored to assume the role of president of NAHREP Chicago. I plan to use this opportunity to encourage young professionals,” said Payes. “Your age and gender shouldn’t matter – you can do this, too, if you work hard and put your heart into it.”

Payes and her leadership team officially took the helm following NAHREP’s annual installation event held Dec. 4, 2019 at TAO Chicago.
