What do you consider a “fashion don’t”?
I can’t stand pants that are too long and bunch up at the ankles. It’s hard to look at!

What is your favorite piece of clothing and why?
Definitely socks; you can get very adventurous and fun with funky socks or keep them simple and sleek depending on the day. I get more “nice socks” compliments than anything else.

What do you consider a must-have accessory?
A nice watch that complements my outfit.

What is a fashion crime you have committed in the past?
My clothes did not fit properly and were typically too baggy. Finding a good tailor really helped modernize my style and give me more confidence in what I was wearing.

Where are your favorite places to shop?
Nordstrom and Banana Republic for everyday wear — they have everything I need. And I use a personal tailor for all suits.

What, besides your wardrobe, completes your look?
Clean, well-kept hair.

What is in your bag/briefcase?
Shoe polish and shirt collar stays.

I have over 100 ties, and though I do not wear about 75 percent of the lot, I don’t have the heart to part with them!
