Also on tap in 2018: The Real Estate Education Advisory Council and the Real Estate Administration and Disciplinary Board will merge into a single entity, with a total of 15 members: 12 active or managing brokers and three public members who represent consumers.

“Of that now 15-member board, we would look to organize it in a way that allows it to address all the issues from education to discipline to general policies for the profession,” Allison says. “Increasing professionalism, continuing to discipline the bad actors and, hopefully, generally setting up policies that make it easy for the licensees to do the right thing while still making them better at their trade so consumers benefit.”
