Managing Broker of the Year, Suburbs: Steve Lawrence, Baird & Warner

by Chicago Agent

Steve Lawrence
Baird & Warner
Managing Broker

Steve Lawrence began his career in 1985 as a fresh graduate of Illinois State University with a degree in social science education. Thinking he would just sell real estate in the summers, he quickly fell in love with the industry. He continued his education while earning his broker’s license as well as his Wisconsin broker’s license.

Lawrence’s first managing position was with Poe & Poe in 1991, where he supervised 25 agents while continuing to list and sell properties. In 1997, he joined Baird & Warner and began managing the Libertyville office, where he remains to this day. With the recent merger of Kreuser and Seiler to Baird & Warner, Lawrence now manages more than 140 agents.

Lawrence’s focus has always been on a “Raving Fan” philosophy of service to agents, clients and community, supported by a vibrant team spirit in the office. He was recognized by his board as Realtor Associate of the Year in 1993 and Realtor of the Year in 2002 by the Realtors Association of Northwest Chicagoland. He served as president of the association in 2003.

“I am humbled to receive this prestigious award!”

Finalists:

Karen Gilbert, Dream Town Realty;

Michael Parent, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices
