Building a strong foundation

by Blake Boldt

Blake BoldtIn my first summer as a resident of Chicagoland, I have been in awe at the tremendous growth and vitality in so many communities across the area. As I explore different neighborhoods and discover my new favorite places to visit, I gain an even deeper admiration for those who encourage community vitality through new real estate development. Many homebuilding companies throughout Chicagoland support neighborhood activity and provide economic revitalization through meaningful real estate development projects that benefit businesses and community members alike. Key to the success of this effort is developing relationships with members of the real estate industry.

In our cover story, we take an in-depth look at the evolving relationship between homebuilders and agents — focusing on how both sides work together to meet buyer demand. We also catch up with Jerome Wade, owner of Jerome Wade Enterprises and president of the Southside Builders Association development group, who has been a tireless supporter of residential growth on the South Side and is now spearheading the Third Ward Parade of Homes project in Bronzeville. His example is one to follow as the real estate industry works to improve the quality of life in our communities. Where do you see the next big breakthrough in real estate development in the Chicagoland area? Share your thoughts at blake@agentpublishing.com.
