On Oct. 5, @gives back, the non-profit charitable organization founded by Thaddeus Wong and Michael Golden, hosted its  “@gives a hoot” fundraiser with Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Duncan Keith. Keith is the founder of Keith Relief, an organization founded in 2011, which is dedicated to alleviating the financial and emotional burdens of families and individuals that suffer from medical crises.

@gives back was created as an charitable extension of @Properties that could assist brokers and local organizations that are dedicated to education and homelessness prevention. “We’re proud to work with one of Chicago’s hardest-working athletes on such a great cause,” said Golden. “Duncan Keith shares our commitment to giving back, and the event was a huge success thanks to everyone involved.’

Morgan Manufacturing in the West Loop was the host venue for the event, and housed the 250-plus guests who attended. Guests were invited to participate in country-themed games, silent auctions, a hockey shootout with Keith, and enjoy live music.

Wong added, “We are blown away by the support we’ve received for Keith Relief and @gives back. We surpassed our goals for the event, and now we will look to keep the momentum going as Duncan starts a new Blackhawks season. We’re thrilled to be helping such a deserving organization.”
