Jeanine McShea

Jeanine McShea has resigned from her position as vice president-managing broker of Related Realty, and is planning to launch a mother-daughter sales team out of @properties’ East Lincoln Park sales office.

“Related Realty has been awesome to me,” McShea said in an interview with Chicago Agent. “I just thought it was a great time to go back to sales.”

With @properties, McShea will be a co-partner with her daughter, real estate agent Erin McShea. As The McShea Group, Jeanine will focus on empty nesters looking for properties in Chicago’s downtown, while Erin will primarily work with Millennials and first-time homebuyers.

“We’ll balance each other out,” McShea said.

A real estate veteran with 30 years of experience, McShea was a sales agent for 15 years before taking on a managing broker position with @properties in 2003; during that time, she oversaw the brokerage’s considerable growth. After stint with Baird & Warner, McShea started her position with Related in spring 2014, and although she says her return to @properties “feels like going home,” she spoke highly of her time with Related.

“I leave Related with sadness, but I met some truly great people there,” she said. “I love being a mentor – I told my agents they can still call me for anything.”
