Baird & Warner recently announced the winners of their ‘160 Years of Giving Back’ contest. Sixteen local Chicagoland nonprofits each received a $10,000 grant, with the total company donation being over $160,000.
Recipients were hand-picked by the public to celebrate Baird & Warner’s 160th anniversary. More than 80,000 votes were amassed throughout the month-long program.
“When we launched ‘160 Years of Giving Back,’ we were very excited about the idea of opening the voting to the general public, but we never expected such a tremendous response,” said Jennifer Alter Warden, chief operating officer and executive vice president of Baird & Warner. “There is truly no better way to celebrate Baird & Warner’s 160th anniversary than by empowering our neighbors to help in our local communities.”

- Crisis Center for South Suburbia
- Family Promise North Shore
- Family Shelter Service
- Housing Forward
- Lazarus House
- McHenry County PADS
- Morningstar Mission
- Naperville Responds for Our Veterans
- PADS Lake County
- PADS of Elgin, Inc
- Realtors Against Homelessness and District 211 Foundation
- Shelter, Inc.
- Stand Up for Kids
- UCP Seguin of Greater Chicago
All 25 Baird & Warner branch offices nominated a nonprofit that specializes in aiding those less fortunate and helps them live healthy, successful and productive lives. From Sept. 1 to 30, Baird & Warner employees, broker associates, nominated organizations and the general public voted for their favorite charities.
