Mike Drews Installed as President of IAR Board of Directors

Mike Drews

Mike Drews was installed as the 2016 president of the Illinois Association of Realtors on Oct. 6 at the Illinois Association of Realtors Inaugural Gala. He is a broker-associate with Charles B. Doss & Co. in Aurora.

Drews has been active in the real estate industry since 1979. He is a graduate of Western Illinois University and has earned the Graduate, Realtor Institute (GRI) professional designation.

Drews is also a past president of the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors. In 2011, he was named Realtor of the Year by the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors and was also awarded the IAR Political Involvement Award.

Drews has served on several committees and working groups for the Illinois Association of Realtors, including the Executive, Finance, Broker/Lawyer Liaison and Strategic Planning committees and the Professional Development Member Involvement Group. He is also a three-time chair of the IAR Professional Standards Committee.

On the national level, Drews has served repeatedly on National Association of Realtors (NAR) Professional Standards Committee, is a major investor to the Realtors Political Action Committee, and is a member of NAR’s President’s Circle. In 2016, Drews will serve on the NAR Professional Standards Committee, along with being on the NAR Board of Directors, the Professional Standards Interpretations and Procedures Advisory Board, the Real Property Valuation Board and the Realtor Party Member Involvement Committee.

In 2016, Drews will be involved on the state level by serving as president of the IAR Board of Directors, the chair of the IAR Executive Committee and the chair of the IAR Strategic Thinkers Working Group.
