Managing brokers face a plethora of challenges, many of them unique to today’s real estate climate. For instance, they have to provide education and reliable advice about how syndication sites – including the newly formed Zillow Group – play into an agent’s marketing formula. They have to consider new technologies, many of which are recent innovations and continue to redefine real estate activities. And they have to guide agents through the remnants of the downturn, which, whether in the form of low inventories, increased regulations or economic uncertainty, continue to affect the marketplace – and all that excludes the timeless responsibilities of recruiting, retention and office satisfaction!
To get a handle on those many challenges, we spoke with some of the most respected managing brokers in the Chicagoland area, who shared their wisdom and perspective on the real estate market, and how they face challenges and turn them into opportunities.
