Following clients, Conlon scheduled to open new offices in two Chicagoland suburbs.
After only five years in Chicagoland, Conlon/Christie’s International Real Estate will open one of two planned suburban offices Wednesday, July 16, according to Crain’s.
The office, located in Hinsdale at 36 S. Washington St., will open its doors with 10 agents, who will represent a mix of existing Conlon agents and professionals moving over from other firms; though, no names have yet been announced.
Benjie Buford, the firm’s CEO, told Crain’s they hope and expect the office to eventually house 30 agents.
Conlon’s second suburb office, scheduled to open in Winnetka in August, will begin with 15 agents, but, similar to Hinsdale, will likely grow as business picks up. Conlon expects the Winnetka office to one-day employ 40 or more agents.
Buford explains Conlons decision to expand as a direct response to the firm’s clients.
“A lot of them who bought with us in the city in the past head for suburbs like Hinsdale and Winnetka later,” he says. “It’s a natural progression for us.”
