“My goal in writing The Art of Space is to pull back the curtain, de-mystify the process and make interior design accessible to everyone,” said Cook.

Cook came to a decision to write the book after being called upon to fix some other firm’s interior design that hadn’t been right to the client.  After redesigning almost two dozen spaces, Cook came to the realization that what she had been doing automatically each time she designed a space could be boiled down to a science and the set of seven fundamentals came about.
