This is the most expensive publicly-traded home ever sold in Western Springs.

Recently Western Springs sold its most expensive publicly-traded home ever, according to a recent article by Chicago magazine. The 17-room home sold for 2.6 millions dollars, far ahead of the previous record holder, which sold for 2.1 million in 2009.

Dawn McKenna, the agent who listed the home cited its style and location for the price. It is blocks away from a Metra station, an elementary school in a good school district, and the town center. Nearby is the Bennis Woods forest preserve.

The home features six-bedrooms, two bars, glass-fronted bookcases, a fireplace, and a golf-center in the finished basement.

This is the most expensive Western Springs home ever recorded with MRED. This home came on the market in February with a price of $2.995 that was cut to $2799 in April.
