The 2012 Managing Brokers Survey

Managing brokers have a list of several important qualities they want their agents to have. Teresa Ryan of Ryan Hill Realty, who graces our cover, is a true believer in making sure every agent recruited is not only an exceptional agent, but that he or she will also fit in with the team culture.

“This was a great survey that asked many important questions that all managing brokers, owners and recruiters should ask about every agent that we bring into our companies,” Ryan said. “What is important to an agent? What will help these agents succeed? What are our expectations of each agent within our organization? What type of agent fits your company culture? How are we providing the tools, training and support to ensure our agents will succeed and thrive in real estate? Each and every agent and staff is a part of our team, and we need to work as a team and contribute to the team.”

We emailed this survey out to more than 300 successful Chicagoland managing brokers and asked them the questions on the following pages. We compiled the results from all the responses we received. Take a look – you might be surprised by some of them!
