Ruth Thiel, WCR North Shore’s first chapter president, was in attendance for the council’s 40th anniversary Oct. 11

The North Shore Chapter of the Women’s Council of Realtors (WCR North Shore) celebrated their 40th Anniversary at Lovells of Lake Forest Thursday, Oct. 11.

Attendees networked and had a luncheon catered by Chef James A. “Jay” Lovell III. Marjorie Rissman, 2002 president and Anniversary Committee chair, also had musician and pianist Alan Gresik provide entertainment.

Past presidents were honored during the event, including Ruth Thiel, WCR North Shore’s first chapter president from 1972 to 1973, who traveled from Naples, Fla. to attend the festivities.

Other past presidents that were in attendance for the event included Barbara Barker, 1996 president; Pat Curren, 1975 president; and Susan Cooney, 1982 president.
