What do you consider a “fashion don’t”? Following the trends and not wearing what works for your body type.

What is your favorite piece of clothing and why? This one is tough. I have a Roberto Cavalli coat I bought in Italy. On one side, it is black suede with a fur collar, but turn it inside out, and it is sheared mink with a totally different collar. It is one of a kind and I feel special when I wear it.

What do you consider a must-have accessory? A great statement purse. It makes an ordinary outfit look fabulous.

What is a fashion crime you have committed in the past? Without a doubt, the “bubble” dress. I looked like a pumpkin.

Where are your favorite places to shop?
I adore shopping at boutiques around Chicago and the suburbs. I also shop at Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue and Nordstrom.

What, besides your wardrobe, completes your look? Definitely accessories – a fabulous purse, a great pair of shoes or an unforgettable piece of jewelry.
