by Chicago Agent

MRED has launched its eighth MLS along with its new Fannie Mae’s Short Sale Assistance Desk (SSAD).

Midwest Real Estate Data (MRED) announced the addition of its eighth multiple listing service (MLS) along with the MRED web-based implementation of Fannie Mae’s Short Sale Assistance Desk (SSAD).

MRED’s Division of Special Projects with Director Chris Lambrou as its head has been able to provide the eight MLS’ with the foundation to integrate the SSAD into their own systems.

“The MRED SSAD solution currently serves over 147,000 Realtors across the country,” said Lambrou.

By collecting and submitting data via a more efficient service, Fannie Mae can now analyze information quicker for short sale request; previously, short sale approval could take months to process. It will also improve upon Fannie Mae’ ability to make valuations.

The SSAD also aids real estate professionals with their post-contract issues including: loan servicer responsiveness, second liens and mortgage insurance issues.

“We are very pleased to offer a service that benefits brokers, agents and the consumer,” said MRED CEO Russ Bergeron.

The MRED SSAD application can now be used all across the U.S. Washington, D.C.; Maryland; Virginia; Napa/Sonoma Valley, Calif.; Minnesota; Fort Lauderdale and Miami-Dade County, Fl.; Southeastern Michigan and Rhode Island have all implemented the system, and of course, Illinois has, too, where the system originated.
