The Mainstreet Organization of Realtors (MORe) will be holding a free gift-wrapping event on December 3rd at 14 Chicagoloand locations between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

MORe volunteers will be wrapping shopper’s gifts, completely free of charge. Donations are requested, and all proceeds will be going towards the nonprofit, Helping Our Heroes (HOH), an organization dedicated to assisting veterans, active military personnel and local firefighters and police officers facing difficulties in meeting home mortgage payments, or who are in need of necessary home repairs.

“The holidays are all about giving to people n need, and this is a great way to do just that,” said Jennifer Prell. “We need to help those who have sacrificed so much on our behalf.” Prell is president of Paxem & Elderwerks and vice-president of Helping Our Heroes.

Helping Our Heroes was founded in 2004 and has since assisted over 40 families avoid foreclosure and eviction.
