Michael Golden

The Chicago Association of Realtors named @properties co-founder Michael P. Golden the 2011 Realtor of the Year. The award was presented last week at CAR’s annual inaugural gala at Navy Pier.

Golden, who served as CAR president from 2007 to 2008, was acknowledged for his contributions to the real estate industry. Through his diligence and that of his partner, Thaddeus Wong, this year @properties opened new Winnetka and Lake Forest offices, exceeded 1,000 agents, and completed sales at various Chicago condominium developments, including R+D 659 and SoNo. Golden’s hard work allowed @properties to thrive in the midst of turbulent housing and financial markets.

“Mike strives to improve client service and position his fellow Realtors as the voice of real estate in Chicago,” the association said in a statement. “His analytical abilities and entrepreneurial spirit have made @properties one of the city’s top sellers of residential real estate.”

“I share this award with my partner, Thaddeus Wong,” Golden said. “As well as all of the members of the association who, through hard work and innovation, have kept their businesses moving forward despite the incredible challenges in today’s real estate market.”
