RE/MAX Northern Illinois recently added videos and virtual tours to its mobile website, m.illinoisproperty.com. It is one of the first real estate brokerages to use these two features on a mobile platform.
The mobile website is unique because it does not need an application to be downloaded first, and so it is compatible with almost every mobile phone. Thus, the broadest audience can be reached.
All of the agents and offices in the RE/MAX Northern Illinois network have their own mobile website, and have the option of providing each of their listings with unique phone numbers, web address, and QR (Quick Response) codes to allow for easier access to information on customer’s mobile device. The agents can also utilize Facebook and the network’s YouTube channel to promote their listings.
These marketing materials allow interested buyers to garner information about a house as they are standing in front of it.
“Since we launched our mobile real estate platform in May 2010, we have seen mobile search go from zero to ten percent of all real estate searches conducted on illinoisproperty.com,” said Casey Reagan, Chief Technology Officer with RE/MAX Northern Illinois, in a statement. “We believe the mobile search trend will continue at an exponential pace as smart phones become the norm, mobile browsers become more advanced and tablets become more popular. That is why providing property videos and virtual tours on our mobile platform were a critical first step in getting mobile real estate search on par with the desktop experience.”
CirclePix Marketing Solutions, Inc., a strategic partner of RE/MAX Northern Illinois, along with Reliance Network, the technology platform partner, have been instrumental in helping integrate these two key, new features into the website’s mobile search experience.
