Average Amount Spent on Marketing Increased 9 Percent

In 2009, 62 percent of agents expected to spend more on marketing in 2010. The average amount spent on marketing per agent increased 9 percent from 2009 – $2,144 to $2,339 in 2010. However, while the total dollar amount spent increased, each agent actually spent a lesser portion of their income on marketing. On average, each agent spent 4.94 percent of their income on marketing in 2010, compared to 5.29 percent the year before.
