by Chicago Agent

Chicago Association of Realtors (C.A.R.) representatives are attending the IX Annual Warsaw Real Estate Players’ Conference, Dec. 10 in Warsaw, Poland. Their trip reaffirms C.A.R.’s formal cooperative relationship with the Warsaw Real Estate Brokers’ Association (WSPON).

In Warsaw are:

  • Mabel Guzman, ABR, AHWD, C.A.R. president and president of business development and sales, ENVISION Real Estate,
  • Ginger Downs, RCE, CAE, IOM, C.A.R. chief executive officer, and
  • Don Pasek, CIPS, TRC, past-chairman of C.A.R.’s Chicago International Real Estate Council and managing broker, Omniterra Real Properties Inc.

At the conference, Guzman and Downs will help Polish real estate agents continue to shape their industry by presenting on the positive public perception of Realtors in the United States and the benefits of a professional association. In addition, Pasek will be recognized as an honorary WSPON member for his years of support and volunteer service to assist Polish real estate agents. He becomes just the second honorary member in WSPON’s 15-year history.

C.A.R.’s formal relationship with WSPON dates to 2001. In 2002, a C.A.R. trade mission to Warsaw helped WSPON launch its Multiple Listing Service (MLS). In spring 2010, C.A.R. welcomed a WSPON delegation to Chicago to learn more about how the U.S. real estate industry works, including membership in a Realtor association.

The Chicago Association of Realtors is the “Voice for Real Estate” in Chicago since 1883, representing more than 12,500 members from all real estate specialties including commercial sales, development, property management, appraisal, auctions and residential sales.
