Dream Town Opens New Chicago Real Estate Office in Lincoln Square

by Chicago Agent

Dream Town Realty opened its fourth brick-and-mortar location this Monday at 4553 N. Lincoln Avenue in the Lincoln Square neighborhood. The 2,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility was constructed with a number of eco-friendly components and specialty features. It will serve dozens of agents and be run by Managing Broker Barbara O’Connor.

Dream Town has grown significantly in the past year, adding agents every month to its team of residential consultants. To accommodate its expanding roster of realtors, Dream Town owners Yuval Degani and Avi Ron decided it was time to get another office up and running.

“We are very excited about the new building,” said Mr. Degani. “It was carefully planned to provide agents with all the services and resources they would get at our main office, as well as be another convenient location for clients.”

The office was built with several green aspects, including a front reception counter made from recycled beer bottles. The flooring is also recycled material re-manufactured into carpet tiles. All lighting at Dream Town’s new Lincoln Square workspace uses low-wattage compact fluorescent bulbs and all desk stations are recycled MDF (medium density fiberboard), which is a composite wood product that uses resin, heat and pressure to reuse old wood fibers.

“Dream Town is committed to green real estate, even in our own offices,” Mr. Degani said. “We had custom cabinets locally crafted to cut down on carbon emissions from transportation and little things like low VOC paint reduce the amount of toxins released into the environment, improving the air quality.”

The Lincoln Square location is also equipped with first-rate technology. Work stations feature dual-screen set-ups and the office has a state-of-the-art VoIP communication system. A touch-screen function for the front window is also in the plans, which would showcaseDream Town’s listings. Similar to the Lincoln Park main office, there are in-house marketing and printing services available to agents at Lincoln Square, as well as a professional espresso machine to brew Dream Town’s own blend of dark roast beans. The Rancilio commercial-grade barista station is situated in the front reception area and Dream Town welcomes clients and visitors to stop in for a cappuccino anytime.

“We’ve always been big on coffee, so with this office we decided to take it to the next level,” said Mr. Degani. “We installed a machine like the ones they use in Italian coffee shops – two espresso pods, steam wands, the whole nine-yards. We’re happy to make a latte or cap for anyone that walks in the front door, whether you’re looking to buy or sell a home or not.”

Dream Town’s new branch was designed by architect Davor Engel of StudioDe. The space occupies an existing building that Mr. Engel re-invented with a modern style and sleek eco-friendly finishes. It has all-glass interior offices and conference room, plus rows of private desks with ergonomic chairs for agent use. Construction of the recently opened location was completed by the company’s home construction and remodeling division, Dream Town Builders.

Barbara O’Connor is the managing broker at 4553 N. Lincoln Avenue. Ms. O’Connor is a top Chicago realtor who specializes in North Side real estate and development sales. She joined Dream Town in May and formed the O’Connor/Hebson Group with Colin Hebson. The team has transitioned from Lincoln Park over to the Lincoln Square office, which will also serve as the home base for another top-producing realty group that just started with Dream Town, the Rizzo Group.

A Grand Opening event for Dream Town’s Lincoln Square office is scheduled for November 4th.
