in Top 500 Franchises

RE/MAX captured the No. 8 spot in the Franchise 500 for 2006, Entrepreneur magazine’s ranking of the nation’s top 500 franchising organizations. It was the second-consecutive year the magazine gave RE/MAX a Top 10 ranking in the list, which has been published for the last 27 years. In 2005, RE/MAX was ranked No. 10.

Entrepreneur also honored RE/MAX as the 11th-fastest growing franchise and ranked it fourth on its list of best low-cost franchises. Once again, RE/MAX was rated as the top-ranked real estate franchise.

In compiling its rankings, Entrepreneur judges all companies, regardless of size, by the same criteria: objective and quantifiable measures of a franchise operation. Along with growth rate, size and financial factors, it also considers the number of years in business and length of time the company has been involved in franchising, startup costs, litigation, percentage of terminations and whether the company provides financing.
