Starting her career in the commercial sector before switching to residential, Lisa Saul has worked in real estate and transactional law for over 20 years. A native Chicagoan, she grew up in the northern suburbs and moved to the city upon graduating from the Georgetown University Law Center in 2001.
Serving Chicago and its surrounding suburbs, Saul describes referrals from past client as the greatest indicator of success. She’s known by her clientele for being warm, responsive and sharp. They also appreciate that she strives to add a bit of levity to every transaction. Saul takes pride in removing stress from the particulars of real estate transactions, noting, “I try to add a human touch.”
Reflecting on the real estate team at Forde & O’Meara LLP, she’s happy to have grown the group to three attorneys, two paralegals, a clerk and a team manager. Leading the team is a worthwhile challenge for Saul, who understands that when they collectively excel, so do their clients. “I think my colleagues would agree that I am a perfectionist and that I can be tough,” she says. “However, I think they would also agree that as long as team members are giving it their all and clients are happy, I pretty much let them run their own show.” For her competitive edge she credits her start at a top Chicago law firm, where she learned to thrive in multiple work environments.
Saul is a consummate professional who has been formally recognized by Leading Lawyers. She is most proud of her sons; her older son, who now towers over her, is a junior in high school, and her younger son is a freshman. She enjoys Chicago summers and country music and is an avid Cubs fan.
