Learning strong work ethics from his parents, Dave Shalabi credits their principles as instrumental to his successful 18-year career in real estate. At a very young age, he knew that he wanted to own his own business and work diligently to achieve success. “My parents were both very hardworking people,” Shalabi shares. “By watching them, I learned the importance of having integrity and the drive to succeed.”
A broker associate with RE/MAX 10, Shalabi represents first-time homebuyers, luxury and relocation clients, investors and sellers throughout the southwest suburbs of Chicago. A lifelong resident of Orland Park and the southwest suburbs, he appreciates the area and understands the market. “Knowing the industry, especially in a competitive market, is key,” he explains. “I take a lot of pride in my community and plan to continue making it a wonderful place to live.”
Ranked as the top RE/MAX agent in northern Illinois, Shalabi was recognized as a 2024 Circle of Legends inductee, received the Lifetime Achievement award and has been named Humanitarian of the Year. He is also a member of the Diamond Club and the Titan Club. A former board member of Orland Park School District 135, he now volunteers and serves as the president of the Orland Foundation for Education. Giving back to his community, he supports local places of worship, food pantries and other nonprofits to assist people in need.
Known for being honest, responsive, ethical and a great negotiator, Shalabi is an innovative agent who believes in treating every listing uniquely. “Each experience teaches me how to continue growing and improving as a broker,” he says. “It pushes me to continue to be better.”
Shalabi and his wife enjoy spending time with their three children, attending their extracurricular activities, trying new restaurants and traveling.
