Shannon Blay, Real Estate Agent

COMPASS

With three years in the real estate industry now, Shannon Blay has always worked in some form of sales. “I am drawn to moving the needle and making things happen,” she says. When her former job ended abruptly due to market restructure, she pivoted to helping expose her local community to interested out-of-state buyers. An entrenched resident of the area for four decades, she notes, “I view real estate transactions as a collaboration, not a competition. I also thrive on meeting my clients’ expectations and take pride in giving them an experience that makes one of the potentially most difficult and complex purchases or sales a seamless one.”

Blay serves diverse clientele in Lake Geneva, Williams Bay and Fontana, from first-time buyers to luxury clients and investors. Known by clients as a dependable and knowledgeable professional with strong negotiation skills, she executes with precision and intelligence. An empathetic and approachable professional who takes care to understand her clients’ “why,” she has an ability to maintain positivity and a willingness to push through challenges.

Proud that she was able to outperform her prior year’s sales by a whopping 25%, Blay is also humbled to be respected by so many of her peers. Southeastern Wisconsin is a relatively small area with many agents, and she refuses to believe there’s just one way to do things here.

Highly physically active, Blay describes herself as “obsessed” with cycling, though she’s also an avid yogi and pickleball player.  “This past year, I challenged myself to move up classes in a mountain bike series that I race in all over Wisconsin. This move forced me to get uncomfortable, and that’s what it takes to get better,” she shares. In addition, she sits on the board of directors for her local cycling club, Treadhead Cycling, an advocacy group that encourages, educates and supports all things cycling in her community.
