Through her Instagram handle, @jennysellschicago, she doesn’t just showcase listings; she builds communities. “I’ve met so many incredible clients who have become friends just from Instagram,” shares Carlino DeGroot, a seven-year veteran of the business. “I try to mix fun with information. If I had questions when buying my first condo years ago, then other people have them, too.” Her dedication hasn’t gone unnoticed. In 2021, Carlino DeGroot was honored as a Road to Rolex recipient, reserved for top producers within her company.
Her firsthand experience building a home from the ground up gave her a unique perspective to help guide clients through various projects, budgets and timelines with ease. “Designing everything myself gives me insight into cosmetic projects, too,” she adds, highlighting her multifaceted approach to real estate. Beyond her professional achievements, Carlino DeGroot’s proudest accomplishment in the past year is the arrival of her daughter in May 2023. “Having a job with flexibility to spend this first year with her has been the most magical thing I could ask for,” she enthuses. She also enjoys indulging in her passions for interior design, party planning, hosting gatherings, vacationing in Florida and strolling through her neighborhood.
