Andre T. Mitchell & D.J. Peoples, Brokers

The Dream Team, Baird & Warner

“We both have a true passion to help others,” say Dream Team brokers Andre T. Mitchell and D.J. Peoples. The team shares a combined 25 years of experience in real estate and a positive mission. “We saw a career in real estate as being our way to make an impact in the world,” they explain.

The team has built lasting relationships and a solid reputation within Chicagoland and the south-suburban communities. “Our business is not transactional; it’s relationship-based,” they say. “With every person we help, our goal is to act ethically and with the highest morals.” Because of this, over 95% of their business comes from referrals.

Before combining forces with Mitchell, Peoples, a former college professor, bought and sold several homes out of necessity while traveling the world with her husband, a member of the U.S. Air Force. She became familiar with the process, even providing agents with sources to help them complete their transactions. Mitchell, who previously worked as the director of leasing and marketing for the largest building in Draper & Kramer’s property management portfolio, saw the value in helping others achieve homeownership and decided to do it for a living.

Mitchell and Peoples are top producers with the Chicago Association of Realtors and consistently rank in the top 1% for production units in Baird & Warner’s Lincoln Park office, as well among the top 1% companywide. The pair are also both members of the brokerage’s Founders Club. In addition to their work as real estate brokers, the two are rehabbers and both have active rental portfolios.

Active mentors in their community, Mitchell and Peoples lead by example and encourage young people to explore careers they are passionate about. In their downtime, Mitchell enjoys interior design, traveling and exploring Chicago’s newest restaurants, while Peoples loves traveling and spending time with her family.
