Coming from humble beginnings, Amber Cawley is a natural caregiver, with a 15-year career as a first responder before retiring from Lake County Sheriff’s Office in 2013. Cawley ventured into real estate by buying homes, rehabilitating them and selling them. “During that time, I acquired a deep understanding of the cost of projects, what changes are possible in homes and how to identify possible renovations,” she says. “This really has proven helpful in guiding my clients.”
Currently with @properties Christie’s International Real Estate, Cawley proudly serves Lake, McHenry and Kane Counties in Illinois. Living on the state line, she also covers Walworth and Kenosha Counties in Wisconsin. Assisting clients with properties ranging from the low $100,000’s to $5 million, her intense focus on each client’s goals is what drives her results. “Clients appreciate my knowledge and understanding of the market in establishing a value for each property,” she explains. “I do not use automatic comparison software like most agents; I spend time researching each property to maximize the value.”
Cawley was awarded Rookie of the Year of North America in 2019 and was welcomed to the International Presidents Circle Top 1% at Coldwell Banker. In 2021 she joined @properties, where she was named the No. 1 Individual Agent in the Libertyville office for 2023. Some of her other honors include the Visionary Award in 2022 and 2023, Road to Rolex in 2022 and Altitude Award in 2021. Mainstreet Organization of Realtors presented her with Top 1% in sales volume honors in 2021 and 2023, and Top 2% in 2020 and 2022. Plus, she was named Top Viewed Agent in 2022 for Homesnap Pro. She attributes much of her success to her clients, who trust her advice and refer her to their friends and family.
As a mother of three, Cawley finds joy in raising and watching her children thrive. “I hired an amazing administrative professional,” she shares. “She is a blessing to me and my family, giving me back the gift of time, which allows me to focus on things that matter the most.”
