“Can’t even believe it has been 12 years I have been in this business,” says Raul Perez, a senior home lending advisor at Chase Bank. “I thought I’d end up flying planes or something, but destiny had it that I’d make peoples’ dreams come true through sustainable homeownership.”
Perez jumped into the lending world headfirst when he was hired on the spot just over a decade ago. He now finds adventure in the everyday, helping clients with first-time purchases, affordable lending needs, FHA loans, VA loans and many other specialized processes. His clients love his genuine personality and appreciate that he makes them feel truly heard and respected during the process.
“Sure, I’m a mortgage guy, but I’m also creating dreams for many generations that never thought of owning a home,” Perez shares. “I am committed to serving those underprivileged communities where their voice has never been heard.”
In 2020, Perez was a top producer in affordable loan units, and over the past three years he has been a top-250 Hispanic Loan Originator through the NAHREP organization, of which he’s a member through the Chicago chapter.
“My special sauce has been consistency in solving people’s problems,” he says. “I am the guy who can formulate a solution. Everyone has a challenge and everyone is different, so it’s just about tailoring my approach to that.”
Perez still plans one day to go for that private pilot license and travel the world — but for now, he’s focused. “It’s a beautiful thing,” he remarks, “to see people realizing their hopes and dreams.”
