Eleven years ago, if someone told Lyn Harvie that she would be selling real estate today, she would not have believed them.

Harvie, a top-producing broker with Baird & Warner, earned her real estate license back then to buy investment properties for herself. She initially joined Baird & Warner for the opportunity to shadow an experienced agent who needed assistance with her business. “I thought I was going to spend a year or two learning the ropes and then focus on buying investments,” she recalls. “It turned out that I really enjoyed real estate and my managing broker gave me the nudge to consider it as a full-time career.”

She did just that, and fast forward to today, she has no regrets. “I feel blessed to be able to get up every day and do work that I love,” she says.

Harvie assists buyers, sellers and investors in the city and suburbs, from first to luxury, including those buyers looking for pied-a-terres and downsizing empty-nesters. She also works with domestic and international clients who are relocating to the area.

In 2022, she was named a Chicago Association of Realtors Top Producer, ranked in the top 1 percent of Brokers at Baird & Warner and earned Founders Club status. Process-oriented, Harvie has put systems in place that allow her to provide clients with a high level of service while growing her business at a rapid pace.

“I like to be very upfront with my clients and set clear expectations from the start,” she says. “I’ve found that this makes for a very smooth transaction and my clients seem to appreciate it.”

With more than 80 percent of her business from repeat and referral clients, she says there is no bigger compliment than a client who comes back to you for their next transaction, nor is there greater satisfaction than knowing you are their go-to person for all things real estate.
