Raised on a 4,000-acre cattle ranch in Nebraska, Carrie Lynne Reznicek learned, at an early age, the importance of a handshake and what giving your word meant. “My father taught me that no one owes me anything and that I should treat people the way I want to be treated,” Reznicek shares. “I continue to apply those country roots of high integrity, honesty and good, old-fashioned hard work to every part of my personal and professional life.”
A vice president of business development and mortgage advisor for Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation, Reznicek serves a variety of clientele from those needing jumbo loans to first-time home buyers, throughout Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. Reznicek is also licensed in Michigan, Alabama and Arizona.
Having started her professional career in marketing and public relations, she was introduced to the industry 22 years ago by her loan originator after purchasing her first home. She credits her success to the ability to put herself in her clients’ shoes. “Whether they are loafers, high heels, tennis shoes or sandals, I would never give a client advice that I wouldn’t take myself!”
In the Spring of 2022, Fairway experienced a transition in leadership in the Chicagoland region. Reznicek rallied the Fairway team during the change and helped unify her region more than it had ever been in the past. “I’m thrilled and so incredibly thankful to say that we also retained our groups in what was a challenging year overall for our industry,” says Reznicek. “I love our amazing group of branches and believe that we are an incredibly strong and united regional team in Illinois as we represent the Fairway brand in our marketplace moving forward.”
Known as the ‘crazy cat mortgage lady,’ Reznicek is proud to have fostered more than 150 kittens over the past four years through Forever Fortunate Felines and PAWS Chicago. She is also proud of her twin daughters, Lexi and Zoe, who just finished eighth grade as straight-A students, competitive athletes and all-around kind, caring people.
