Bill Katsoolias, Mortgage Loan Professional

Wintrust Mortgage

When it comes to client interactions, Bill Katsoolias believes it’s essential to have the right blend of professionalism and positivity. “I started in 1994 and never looked back,” says Katsoolias. “My business style is similar to a mixed cocktail: 1 part all-business, 1 part having fun and 1 part goal-driven. I incorporate this structure for my team, coworkers and with my clients.”

This recipe for success has earned Katsoolias a place in the President’s Circle with Wintrust Mortgage and the top 1% in mortgage origination in Scotsman Guide. He has also been awarded the Five Star Mortgage Professional Award by Five Star Professional for more than 10 consecutive years.

Katsoolias strives to combine industry savvy with an uplifting outlook. “I bring a positive attitude to work every day,” he shares. “We’ve seen a lot of ups and downs in this industry. You can’t control what happened in the past, but you can control what happens now and in the future. We’ve been in a rising rate environment and inventory shortage for a while. Both of these don’t seem to be improving soon. We can easily say that business is slow and it’s out of our control. I know that by planting and nurturing the seeds with our clients and referral partners now, the harvest (business) will come.”

To ensure he can make the most of this harvest, Katsoolias relies on the strength of his team members. “[They] are the backbone of my success,” he says. “Both are multitalented and fun to work with. Having them on my side allows me to concentrate on deepening and gaining new relationships with referral partners and clients.”

After the death of his father in 2022, Katsoolias honored his legacy and that of fallen soldiers by completing the Murph Challenge in 2022 and 2023. In his free time, he enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife, his kids and his dog, Louie. On most weekends, Katsoolias can be found running, working out or biking.
