Nykea Pippion McGriff, President, Chicago Association of Realtors

Vice President of Strategic Growth, Coldwell Banker Realty

As a real estate broker, educator, president, guide, mother and friend, Nykea Pippion McGriff wears many hats … and titles. Nicknamed the “Deal Doctor,” she has served the buyers and sellers of the Chicago area since 2005, specializing in single-family homes, condos and multi-unit sales. And during the past few years, she’s been inspired to step up even more and serve her community and industry.

In her current role as vice president of strategic growth at Coldwell Banker Realty, McGriff combines empathy and integrity with an extensive knowledge of current real estate practices and trends. She seamlessly guides agents through one of the most-exciting real estate markets in decades, while also balancing compassion that very few professionals possess.

In her personal career growth, McGriff is constantly adding to her list of individual accomplishments. Due to her dedication and hard work, she earned the title of the first African American woman president of the Chicago Association of Realtors, which she calls “an amazing journey and opportunity.” She also works as an instructor for CAR and leverages her technology know-how as a contract trainer for Midwest Real Estate Data, LLC. She has earned President’s Council Manager status for Coldwell Banker Realty and the RisMedia NewsMaker Influencer award.

McGriff is also a member of the executive committee of the National Women’s Council of Realtors, a federal political coordinator for the National Association of Realtors and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, INC. In honor of her late son, McGriff founded the Xavier O. Joy Scholarship, hosted by the CAR Foundation, which provides financial assistance to students who are attending Morehouse College.
