Since being honored in 2015 as Chicago Agent magazine’s Rookie of the Year for the Suburbs, broker Jessica Jakubowski has consistently distinguished herself as a top producer and market leader in Chicago’s South Suburbs. As a broker for @properties Christie’s International Real Estate, she proudly serves a diverse array of clients in the Lincoln-Way area, Frankfort, Mokena, New Lenox and Manhattan.
Jakubowski, an East Coast native, graduated from Rutgers University with a BA in English. She first moved to Chicago to pursue a career in educational publishing and ultimately worked as a director in finance and sales operations. After 13 years in the publishing industry, though, she discovered her passion for real estate when buying her first home, leading her to become a real estate agent.
“I took a leap of faith, and it was the best decision!” she explains. “I am very fortunate to have been able to build a business in an area where I was a relatively new resident and feel rewarded by the relationships I have formed.”
After moving to Frankfort, Jakubowski became enamored with the area and its schools, amenities and familiar, small-town charm. She currently serves on the board of directors for the Frankfort Chamber of Commerce and was recently appointed by the Mayor to the Village of Frankfort Plan Commission. She also regularly contributes to animal welfare charities.
Despite the challenges the real estate market has faced during the pandemic, Jakubowski found her strengths as a broker to be more valuable than ever. As she puts it, “This year, I was able to utilize my strong connections in my local market, get creative and secure an off-market home for my clients in a highly sought-after area. Also, nothing is as rewarding as setting a price record in a neighborhood and getting the property to appraise and close.”
