Elizabeth August has been a top-producing broker for @properties Christie’s International Real Estate for over two decades. She’s a senior broker associate who came to the industry through a friend’s referral, after a career in advertising. “I love to work here, I love the people and I love the architecture and buildings,” she says. “It was such a great transition, and I haven’t ever looked back.”

Growing up in the western suburbs of Chicago, August became familiar with the luxury market when she started her business, learning the areas through development work. “It was a natural progression of how I moved into selling in both areas,” she says. “After I moved back to the suburbs, I now specialize in the Oak Park-River Forest area while still maintaining my roots in the city.”

Always driven to get the best results for every client, August institutes a mixed business style which she says is fun in a no-nonsense way. “The most important thing is that I begin each relationship by forming a solid relationship with the client,” she says. “That way I can truly understand their goals, hopes and worries.” This client-focused style has worked wonders for August, too. She earned Crain’s Chicago Business’ Most Notable award, has been a Chicago Association Top Producer every year since 2002 and is an @properties Founding Agent.

When she is not helping first-time homebuyers or the savviest of luxury sellers, August savors time with her family. “I love spending time with my family outdoors,” she says. “From running to baseball, softball, soccer for the kids, or even family golf and dinner, I can’t think of a better way to spend my free time.”
